Facts about Liberia

Nathan is serving now in the city of Monrovia in the Republic of Liberia. This country was founded by freed slaves. They named the capital city of Monrovia after the 6th president of the US James Monroe. 40% of the people are christian, they have 85% unemployment and are one of the poorest countries in the world. There are over 3 million people in the country and 50% of them are under 18! I put map up, Monrovia is the red star, the flag and a small photo of the city. We are anxious to get his first letter from Liberia on Monday!
