It's the Holiday Season

Well, it has been a LONG time since we have posted anything.  Our Thanksgiving was great.  We spent the afternoon at my parents church building having a great dinner and lots of fun.  All of the women in the family were in charge of a centerpiece and the tables looked really festive!  I think everyone ate well and played hard.  Robert and I took the motorhome and went down to Payson on Wednesday and stayed until Saturday.  It was a nice little "Vacation" away from home and we needed the time to unwind.  December started out busy like always when you have a kid in VE. (vocal ensemble)  Daniel had three performances last week and he has five this week.  This week he will be singing at a Relief Society Christmas Party, a High Council Party, downtown at the Joseph Smith Building, the Church Museum and the Assembly Hall (all on the same night) and he will be singing two nights in the Forgotten Carols.  The Assembly Hall and the Forgotten Carols will be the whole Concert Choir and the others are the vocal ensemble.  We have a good time going to all of the events.  We also have two Christmas dinners this week.  I think I will be glad when school is out for the holiday because maybe we can then rest a little.  We have been doing some Christmas Shopping and getting ready for the Christmas fun.  It is fun to have a small child to shop for again.  Robert is doing so much better and is not taking any painkillers anymore, not even the Tylenol.  He takes an anti-inflammatory medication but that is all.  He still has pain and gets tired but he is definitely on the road to full recovery.  Pfizer is downsizing in January, but mostly in another specialty and not his.  I think we will still have a job by the end of January.  Rumor has it they are laying off up to 60% of the primary care sales force but I think it is more like 25% (horrible, but better that it is not more than half)  They are laying off more management than anyone.  Robert will get a new manager, regional manager and vice president, but he will keep the same partner. (That is if we truely make the cut).  So, life is exciting and a little crazy but we are all fine and we hope to stay that way.  Happy Holidays to everyone.
